Artist Statement

 

Jason Lantagne is an artist who recently relocated to Alpharetta, GA.  His artwork is primarily landscape oil paintings.  He enjoys using his art as a medium for sharing with other people a memory of a place, a moment in time, or an experience.  His favorite landscapes to paint are those which capture fantastic color, unorthodox compositions, or unintentional beauty.  

 

He grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and it was that environment that fostered his love for the outdoors and made landscape painting a natural choice for his subject matter.  He attended college at Kendall College of Art and Design and graduated with a degree in Product Design while taking Fine Arts classes as electives where he was able to.  His work has been accepted into juried shows in various cities in Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and New York.  He has also organized and displayed his artwork in numerous solo shows for Gallery Walks, coffee shops, restaurants, and other businesses as well.
